The screen should be able to support a desktop size of 800x600 (optimal). The color depth should be at least 16-bit ("High Color"), but preferably 24-bit ("True Color"). There is no added benefit in going to a 32-bit color depth. When using 16-bit screen graphics, the user may see color contour lines on the orbitals that are not actually present in the bitmap file itself. To see the true bitmap without distracting artifacts, you must be using a 24-bit display.
